Biorevitalization, Polynucleotides and PRF – You Ask, We Answer!

Question: Biorevitalization or polynucleotides – which is better?
Answer: Unfortunately, there is no one-size-fits-all answer. Biorevitalization is particularly suitable for deep skin hydration, while polynucleotides help stimulate skin regeneration and improve overall skin quality.

Question: PRF or polynucleotides – which is more effective?
Answer: PRF harnesses your body’s own natural resources, while polynucleotides act as stimulators of tissue regeneration. The choice depends on the specific treatment goal and the individual needs of your skin.

Question: Can polynucleotides replace biorevitalization?
Answer: Not always. In some cases, combining the two treatments can provide better results than using either treatment alone.

Question: Does the skin become “used to” biorevitalization?
Answer: No. The skin does not become accustomed to biorevitalization. It does not become “lazy”, and the treatment does not cause dependence or create a need to have it performed increasingly often. Biorevitalization provides the skin with additional hydration and support at times when its natural regeneration processes alone may not be sufficient.

For example:

  • after summer, when the skin may be dehydrated due to sun exposure and UV radiation;
  • during the heating season, when indoor air is particularly dry;
  • after taking certain medications or undergoing intensive treatments that may
  • compromise the skin barrier and overall skin quality;
  • during rapid weight loss, when the skin may lose moisture, elasticity and firmness and therefore benefit from additional support.

In these situations, biorevitalization can help restore the skin’s moisture levels and improve its overall condition. It certainly does not make the skin dependent on injections.

Question: If polynucleotides are derived from salmonid fish, does that mean fish DNA is injected into my skin?
Answer: Definitely NOT! Polynucleotides are not whole fish DNA or genetic material. They are purified, small DNA fragments derived from cells of salmonid fish. They act as stimulators of the skin’s natural regeneration processes, helping to improve skin quality, hydration and elasticity without altering human DNA.

Question: Which treatment is better for the skin around the eyes?
Answer: The skin around the eyes is particularly thin and delicate, so it requires a gentle yet effective approach. In many cases, polynucleotides can provide particularly noticeable results in this area. They help improve skin quality, elasticity and hydration while supporting the skin’s natural regeneration processes.

Unlike products that strongly attract water into the tissues, polynucleotides generally do not cause significant fluid retention. This makes them particularly suitable for the delicate eye area, especially in people who are prone to puffiness.

However, the most appropriate treatment should always be selected individually, based on the condition of the skin and the desired result.

Question: What is better for loose or sagging skin on the neck – biorevitalization or polynucleotides?
Answer: It depends on the condition of the skin and the main concern. If the primary goal is intensive hydration and improvement of skin tone, biorevitalization may be a suitable option. However, if the skin has lost elasticity, become thinner and less firm, and requires overall improvement in skin quality, polynucleotides are often preferred.

Polynucleotides act as stimulators of the skin’s natural regeneration processes, helping to improve skin structure, elasticity, and overall quality.

If the changes are more pronounced, after initially preparing and improving the skin with biorevitalization or polynucleotides, device-based treatments such as microneedle SMAS lifting may also be considered. These treatments target deeper tissue layers and can help improve tissue tone and density.

For a more pronounced regenerative and firming effect, collagen-stimulating injections, such as Radiesse or poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) treatments, may also be considered. These treatments stimulate the body’s own collagen production and help improve skin firmness and structure.

It is important to understand that the treatment plan should always be tailored individually, taking into account the quality of the skin, the degree of skin laxity, and the patient’s goals. The best results are often achieved by combining different treatment methods in a carefully planned sequence rather than looking for one universal procedure.
